I know, I know. It’s July and you don’t want to think about going back to school right now, but school will be here before we know it, and our community needs our help. We are big fans of Project Hope Alliance and the work they do for our community year round. Right now, they are focused on their Backback Drive, hoping to provide much needed school supplies and new clothes to local students for the upcoming school year.
“Your donation will ensure 400 homeless students in Orange County start their school year with the essentials and confidence they need to succeed.”

Of course, sometimes it’s more fun to do the shopping yourself. My kids especially love picking out all the fun stuff to fill up a backpack and drop it off personally to PHA. And I love that it gets them to think beyond their own wants and needs.
Donations are needed by July 29th though so here are a few quick ways to get that shopping done:
SHOP & DROP: Head to the store and grab items from Project Hope Alliance’s school supply list. Bring the supplies to PHA’s office and they will pack them into backpacks for you. [Check out the Shopping List Here]
AMAZON WISH LIST: Order items from PHA’s Amazon wish list and they will be shipped directly to the PHA office. [Check out the Amazon Wish List Here]
PACK A BACKPACK(S): Fill a backpack with everything on the list and drop it off to the PHA office. **Project Hope Alliance will sign off on 1 hour of community service for every completed backpack. [Check out the Packing List Here]
