I’m sure I don’t have to tell you about the charm of Balboa Island, but I’m going to anyways. If you ever long for the small-town vibe, this is the place to be. Balboa Island is one of our favorite family destinations, whether we are there to grab a bite to eat (hello Picante Martin’s and Dad’s), stop by Sandcastle Monogram for a special present, or take a nice walk along the bay to check out the latest sandcastle creation. Off season there is ample parking and still lots to do. This Sunday, September 16th, Balboa Island is hosting their Carnival & Taste of the Island.
From 1pm to 5pm, come join the Island Fun including:
- rides
- bungee jump
- carnival games
- dunk tank
- pie-eating contest
- raffles
- lots of food
Take the Ferry over, or come across the bridge, but whatever you do, don’t miss it.
All activities take place along the 200 block of Marine Avenue.
