CDM’s Halloween Spooktacular | Newport Mesa Moms

The City of Newport Beach is throwing their annual Halloween Spooktacular event on Saturday, October 26th from 4pm to 7pm at Grant Howald Park in Corona del Mar.  It’s a super fun family event that is low-key and yet full of ways for kids to burn some energy.  Our favorite part of last year’s event was definitely the truck-or-treat where the kids had to do things like “walk the plank” to get their candy.  But we were also super intrigued by the haunted maze (even though we chickened out at the last minute when some older kids warned us it was pretty scary)!

The whole event takes place throughout the park and Community Center area so there is lots of open space to run around, with multiple bounce houses set up as well.  There is also a large area to sit down and eat after grabbing food from various food trucks.

And definitely don’t forget to wear your costume because well it’s fun to dress up more than once.  But there will also be costume prizes if you are needing a little incentive.
