One of my favorite finds of all time (thank you Aunt Katie) is the Creatology Color-In Cardboard “Fort” from Michaels craft stores. These are forts or structures made out of cardboard that are relatively easy to put together (I did it by myself). The kids can then color in their fort and spend hours wrapped up in imaginative play. The designs are always changing so you can keep going back for more. So far I have see a house, castle, lemonade stand, gingerbread house and rocket ship.
With rainy days ahead (#endthedrought) and Thanksgiving and Winter Holidays coming, these creations are the perfect way to buy yourself a few minutes of peace, unless of course you find yourself enjoying the coloring too. These are also great for holiday parties, birthday parties or playdates.
Best of all, when you want the “fort” gone, put it in the recycle bin and enjoy your clean house once again.
You can find the Creatology color-in cardboard structures at Michaels craft store. DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE. I have never paid more than $16 for one. If they are not on sale, make sure you visit Michaels.com and find a coupon.
