After days of rain, the kids (and you) are going to need some serious outside time. With rain unlikely on Friday, think of taking advantage of Centennial Farm’s FREE Discovery Day from 9am to 12pm on Friday, January 18th. Centennial Farm, located at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, is a three-acre working farm with fruit and vegetable gardens and a variety of livestock. While the tour is self-guided, there are a number of volunteers on hand to answer any farm-related question.
Centennial Farm also has a great page on their website with FREE educational materials ranging from Farm Activity Sheets to Scavenger Hunts. While your older kids will be in school for this Discovery Day, the farm is open to the public at other times. Check HERE for up-to-date visiting hours.
