We are MOMS.  We are BUSY.  We have KIDS that crawl all over us when we lie down.  So here’s a quick core exercise you can do when you only have a few minutes.  It’s called the Bag Hold Bicycle, but it can be done with or without the bag, with or without the weight.  For the mamas with pint size toddlers, you can hold them above you (using them as your “weight”).  They think it’s hysterical, and might actually let you finish what you started.

Here are a few tips, courtesy of Cage Fitness Trainer Jenny at 5 Elements MMA & Fitness:

  • Lay down on your back (at home or even when out on playdates in the park)
  • If using weights or a toddler, lift them over your body
  • If not using weights, your hands should be up at the side of your head
  • Start moving your legs (bicycle motion) at a steady pace
  • Push with the heels of your feet
  • Don’t forget to engage your core
  • Do 3 to 4 sets for 30 seconds each
