It’s a topic that’s been in the news of late: women, empowerment, saying enough is enough! It’s a movement that deserves the attention it is getting, and men’s apparel company, fodada, is showing their support of women worldwide with their 7th Annual International Women’s Self Defense Day this Saturday, November 17th.
Gyms and martial arts studios across the globe have banded together with fodada to provide these FREE self-defense classes to not only bring attention to the important subject of women’s empowerment, but to also provide an opportunity for women to actually feel empowered (and for men to support them). Each class will run about one-and-a-half to two hours and will address awareness and avoidance as well as introduce basic self-defense techniques. I can say from personal experience that taking a self-defense class is both eye-opening and educational, and I wholeheartedly encourage every teenage girl and woman to take advantage of the opportunity to attend one.
Below are several participating locations in Orange County. Please follow this link to the fodada website where you can register for an event. Again, all classes are FREE, but registration is required as space is limited. You can also find other participating locations here.
