Get Those Hands Dirty . . . Fairview Park Educational Workdays | Newport Mesa Moms

Some days you just need to get outside and get your hands dirty!  Now you can, all while doing your part to help restore and preserve natural habitats.  On the second Saturday of every month, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am, the Institute of Conservation, Research and Education will be conducting “workdays” in Fairview Park where adults and kids alike can get back to nature.  Work includes either invasive plant removal, or planting natives.  The Next Workday is February 10th!

Materials including gloves and gardening tools will be provided.  Children under the age of 12 will require adult supervision.  There is no cost to participate, and while drop-ins are welcome, registering ahead of time is greatly appreciated.  You can register HERE.

Fairview Park is located at 2501 Placentia Avenue in Costa Mesa.  The park’s 208 acres of open space is made up of bluffs, vernal pools, trails, native plant communities and wildlife.
