If you haven’t ventured out to Pacific City, a shopping and dining destination located in the heart of Huntington Beach, you need to hop in your car and head down PCH to check it out. It has quickly become a favorite spot for our family, usually when we want to grab a good meal and walk around afterwards enjoying the beautiful Southern California beach weather. Located right across from the beach, you can’t beat the view. There is lots of shopping and the kids can run around without worrying about cars (a serious plus in my opinion). We usually hit up Old Crow Smokehouse, a delicious BBQ joint that has quick service, great cocktails, and delicious food for both kids and adults. I also have a lot of extended family in the area, and when we want to get together, have a variety of food options, and not have to worry about the kids being noisy, we head to LOT 579, Pacific City’s modern version of the food court.
But besides all that, Pacific City is also host to some great entertainment including live music, a monthly kids club, and other special events. You can view the full Events Calendar, but here are a few happenings that I wanted to highlight:
The Mermaids at Pacific City

Friday, August 2nd from 12pm – 2pm
Visit With The Local Mermaids! Ever wondered what it’s like to meet a mermaid? Now is your chance!
Join us on the Ocean Deck from noon – 2pm to meet Huntington Beach’s local mermaids to learn about living under the sea and even take a photo with them!
Plus, get your face painted! We’ll have multiple talented artists available for face painting as well.

Movie Nights at the Surf Theater

Join us for Summer Movie Nights at the Surf Theater!
Grab your beach chair and blankets and join us Wednesday nights at 7pm.
Plus don’t forget to swing by one of our tasty restaurants and eateries in LOT 579 to grab a bite on your way to the Surf Theater.
