Once a month, Home Depot offers a FREE hands-on workshop for children. Stop by your local Costa Mesa store (2300 S. Harbor Blvd., Costa Mesa 92626, telephone 949-646-4220) this Saturday, October 7th between 9am and 12pm.
This month’s craft is a Fire House Bank. You and your child can build a cute coin bank with a fire station design. Once the bank is built, your child can decorate it with paint and stickers. All kids get to keep their project, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last. Children (and parent) must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron and pin.
Click HERE to register, or simply drop by for some family fun. Take it a step further and seize the opportunity to talk with your kids about spending and saving. Why do we need to save money? Should you spend your money right away or save it for something special? Do you want to save money so that you can donate it to an organization that helps others? What about saving, spending and donating, is it possible to do all three?
