Movie in the Park: The Sandlot | Newport Mesa Moms

Ok so I know I am dating myself here, but who remembers The Sandlot?  Released in 1993, The Sandlot quickly became a cult favorite, and as a young girl who loved dogs, baseball (softball), and adventure, this movie had my attention.  Now, to celebrate its 25th Anniversary, The City of Newport Beach has chosen The Sandlot for this month’s Movie in the Park.

SYNOPSIS | When Scottie Smalls moves to a new neighborhood, he manages to make friends with a group of kids who play baseball at the sandlot. Together they go on a series of funny and touching adventures. The boys run into trouble when Smalls borrows a ball from his stepdad that gets hit over a fence.  Rated PG.
