Woohoo! Movies in the Park are Back! There is something magical about watching a movie under the stars, and I can’t imagine a better spot than Marina Park (1600 W. Balboa Blvd.) in Newport Beach!
The City of Newport Beach is kicking off their FREE Movies in the Park series with “Surf’s Up” this Friday, April 13, 2018. The 2007 Sony Pictures animated feature tells the story of a penguin caught up in the world of competitive surfing. The event begins at 6:45 pm with the movie showing at sunset. I highly suggest arriving early and enjoying the fabulous playground and beautiful weather. Remember to bring a blanket, towel or folding chairs.
There will be free popcorn and candy as well as food for purchase (bring cash), but you can always bring your own picnic dinner and goodies. I’m thinking something like this:
