Chances are your cabinets are full of old medications, whether prescriptions you no longer need, or medications that have long since expired. Flushing them down the toilet or disposing of them in the trash poses a threat to the environment and provides too many opportunities for them to end up in the wrong hands.
October 27, 2018 is a National Prescription Take Back Day organized by the DEA. Simply gather up all your unused and unwanted prescriptions, medicine and pills, remove any personal information, and drop off at a participating location between 10am and 2pm. Click HERE if you are looking for other locations.
I have personally dropped off at the Lower Campus Parking Lot of Hoag Hospital and didn’t even have to get out of my car. Can’t beat that convenience!
