I was watching a show last night and found myself dreaming of a savory steak as I watched adults on the show have a meal at a nice restaurant. Don’t get me wrong, we eat out a lot, but not often is it without kids, or at a “fancy” restaurant. And I know I am not alone. That’s why Newport Beach’s Restaurant Week, running January 14th to January 27th, is the perfect excuse we need to make it happen. Granted, you still need to find a babysitter (or settle for bringing the kids), but the special prix-fixe menus will be worth the effort. Lunches are available for $10, $15, $20 or $25, while dinner can be savored for $20, $30, $40 or $50.
