Now in its 110th year, the Newport Beach Boat Parade is synonymous with Christmas for thousands of people. Running this year from December 19th to December 23rd, you can cozy up with your loved ones and enjoy some hot chocolate while celebrating the season Newport Beach-style.
With the parade beginning at 6:30pm and passing by Marina Park at 6:45pm, the 10.5-acre park has quickly become a top viewing spot, especially for families (Parade Route). And for the second year, Marina Park will be hosting FREE Opening Night Festivities (Dec.19th) beginning at 4:30pm. With face painters, caricature artists, live performances, an LA Chargers football toss competition, and food vendors, the kids will be wildly entertained until the first boat appears. Marina Park also serves as the perfect spot to catch Opening Night Fireworks off of the Newport Pier. Don’t miss it!
Opening Night’s Grand Marshal is Albert Pujols, three-time National League MVP and two-time World Series champion.
