While it can’t compete with the movie, PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL was the blast from the past I had been waiting for. All the classic lines were there (except the “slippery little suckers” from the escargot scene 😉 ) to bring the iconic movie to life in front of your eyes. The amazingly talented cast were highly deserving of the standing ovation on Opening Night. A longtime fan of Adam Pascal (Edward Lewis) from his days in Broadway’s AIDA, my only complaint was that he didn’t have more songs. But the talented Olivia Valli (Vivian Ward), sassy Jessica Crouch (Kit De Luca) and hysterical Kyle Taylor Parker (Happy Man) held their own and brought a fun and sexy energy to the stage. Oh and the brief scene with the opera singer – AMAZING!
Michelle agrees saying the “funny, sexy, nostalgic PRETTY WOAMAN: THE MUSICAL is a must. It’s the perfect date night or girls night out. The cast was hilarious AND sexy, capturing all your favorite moments from the movie.”
“Brought to the stage by lead producer Paula Wagner, PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL features an original score by Grammy winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance (“Summer of 69”, “Heaven”), and a book by the movie’s legendary director Garry Marshall and screenwriter J.F. Lawton.” (Segerstrom Center for the Arts, May 23, 2022).
