CIVIC CENTER CONCERTS ON THE GREEN (Newport Beach)
The City of Newport Beach presents another series of “Concerts on the Green” during the summer of 2019. Concerts on the Green will be “on the Green” at the Newport Beach Civic Center, 100 Civic Center Drive, Newport Beach. Concerts begin at 6 p.m. and end promptly at 7:30 p.m. and are FREE to the public. Bring your low-slung beach chairs and a picnic dinner or purchase food from gourmet food trucks such as Cheft TLC’s Sidewalk Cafe, Baby’s Burgers (August Only), and Scooter’s Italian Ice.
CONCERTS IN THE PARK (Costa Mesa)
FREE Concerts in the Park take place every Tuesday evening in July at Fairview Park (2501 Placentia Avenue, Costa Mesa). Each week will feature a different band, a collection of gourmet food trucks, a beer and wine garden, and special activities for kids. The concert series is also the Costa Mesa Foundation’s primary fundraiser which grants money to youth organizations, public safety, park development, and community pride initiatives. The event pre-show begins at 5:00 p.m. with the show starting at 6:00 p.m.
**Argyros Plaza in Costa Mesa will also host a Summer Jazz Series on Fridays thru the summer, beginning June 14th. Click HERE for the line-up. FREE.

The Side Deal
After years of independent successful music careers and admiration for one another, Charlie Colin (Train), Stan Frazier (Sugar Ray), and Joel & Scott Owen (PawnShop kings), brought their talents and passion for great music together in a band called The SIDE DEAL. They will kick off the Concerts on the Green series with a rock performance that includes familiar and revamped renditions of their global hits such as Train’s “Drops of Jupiter,” “Calling All Angels,” & “Meet Virginia,” and Sugar Ray’s “Fly,” “Someday,” and “Every Morning” and brand new Side Deal originals.
