The Balboa Peninsula Trolley is Running! | Newport Mesa Moms

You know summer is here when you see the the 55 freeway backed up for miles, and no parking spot in site.  If you are not feeling the bike ride to the beach, or the never-ending search for parking, hop on the Balboa Peninsula Trolley instead.  Now in operation, the trolley runs every Saturday and Sunday during the summer, and on Wednesday the 4th of July for FREE.  Hours of operation are 9:30 am to 9:30 pm.

You can check out the trolley route below, as well as view real-time trolley locations at peninsulatrolley.com, or by downloading a mobile app (search for “Ride Systems,” download, and then search for “Newport Beach”).  There will be four trolleys operating each day, making stops at all 22 marked trolley stops.

To find out what you can bring on the trolley, or for more information, click HERE.  It is recommended that you download the “ParkMobile” app ahead of time so that you will be all set when you are given the code for free parking at one of the designated parking lots and trolley stop.
