The Undead Tombstone: Halloween Cocktail - Newport Mesa Moms

Party ghouls, it’s your time to shine.  We reached out to local mixologist, Inga, of @cocktailsbyings for a new, dark and delicious drink for the adults this Halloween.

Inga says the “UNDEAD TOMBSTONE” features Neft Vodka for its crisp, smooth, clean flavor that enhances the crisp apple taste of apple cider. It’s spiced with some cranberry and cinnamon syrup to add depth and richness, in addition to a hint of lemon and egg white to add a frothy mouth feel. Finish it off with edible black glitter to add a little creepiness. And finally, garnish it with a dehydrated apple chip “tombstone” (from The Cocktail Garnish) and a skeleton stir stick for a drink to delight all your guests.

THE UNDEAD TOMBSTONE

Ingredients:

1.5 oz Neft Vodka
1 oz Apple Cider
1 oz Cranberry
.5 oz Cinnamon Syrup
.25 oz Lemon Juice
Egg white
Edible Black Glitter

Garnish: Dehydrated Apple Chip & Skeleton Stirrer

Directions:

Using jigger to measure out and pour 1.5 oz Neft vodka, 1 oz apple cider, 1 oz cranberry juice, .5 oz cinnamon syrup, .25 oz lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of edible black glitter and 1 egg white into a mixing shaker tin. Cap tin and dry shake to froth up cocktail. Uncap tin, add ice, cap tin and shake again to chill cocktail. Pour cocktail into a rocks/bucket glass and fill with more ice if needed. Garnish with dehydrated apple chip and skeleton hand stir stick.
